Here is some information to help you better understand the MediCare Insurance Options:
Medicare is health insurance for people age 65 or older, or under age 65 with certain disabilities.
Medicare Part A ( Hospital Insurance)
Helps to pay for inpatient care you get in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or hospice, and for home health care if you meet certain conditions.
Medicare Part B ( Medical Insurance)
Part B helps cover medically-necessary services like doctors’ services, outpatient care, home health services, and other medical services. Part B also covers some preventive services.
Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)
Part C is a Medicare health plan choice these plans are called Medicare Advantage Plans or ” Part C” and these plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. Plan provides all Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance). Plan may also offer extra coverage such as vision, hearing, dental ancl/or health & wellness programs. These plans include Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage.
Medicare Part D
Medicare prescription drug coverage is insurance run by an insurance company or other private company approved by Medicare.
Medi/ Medi ( Medicare & Medi-Cal Insurance)
Medi/Medi is two different forms of insurance, Medicare (for people age 65 or older, or under age 65 with certain disabilities) and Medicaid, for low income people. The term Medi/Medi is used to refer to patients who are covered by both of these plans.
